City Council
Working alongside the Mayor, Louisville’s elected City Council helps guide decisions affecting public services, town government, and the future of the community.
The Town of Louisville operates under a mayor-council form of government, with elected leadership responsible for conducting town business and representing the public.
The City Council is made up of elected council members from Louisville’s five districts, with each member representing the residents of his or her district while also helping address issues affecting the town as a whole.

Role of the City Council

Representation
Louisville’s council structure provides representation across five districts, with one elected council member serving each district. This helps ensure that different parts of the community have a voice in local government.
