LOUISVILLE, AL – Whether you’re heading to the beach or noticing suspicious activity around your home, the Louisville Police Department’s Close Patrol program has you covered.

This service lets residents request enhanced police presence exactly where it’s needed.

“Security concerns don’t always wait for convenient times,” says Chief Michael Saad. “Maybe you’re leaving town, or maybe something just doesn’t feel right in your neighborhood. Either way, we want to know about it.”

The process is simple: complete a secure form at police.louisvillealabama.gov/close-patrols, and your property gets added to our patrol routes. The program serves both travelers and residents who’ve noticed concerning activity around their properties.

“Prevention beats reaction every time,” Saad explains. “When you tell us where to look, we can often spot and address potential issues before they become problems.”

The service comes at no cost to residents and represents part of LPD’s broader campaign to preserve and protect the quality of life for Louisville through professional, proactive law enforcement.
